Gait Analysis and our Clinicians
Here at Davenport House Clinic our Podiatrists and Physiotherapists have treated many Manchester based athletes for sporting injuries. During a Gait Analysis the Podiatrists and Physiotherapists may work alongside each other to give the best treatment and rehabilitation available.
All Clinicians at our Manchester based clinic are fully qualified and registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC).
Gait Analysis Treatments
There are many treatment options available at Davenport House Clinic and each option will be different dependent on your injury.
Before you begin your treatment a full medical history will be taken and the Podiatrist and / or Physiotherapist will take time to get to know your activites, past and present injuries and your lifestyle. The Podiatrist will then carry out a physical examination on your lower limbs which will help to identify which structures in your anatomy are injured and to what extent. A personalised treatment plan will then be put together and all treatment options will be considered and discussed with you.
Manchester Gait Analysis Facilities
Our state of the art gait laboratory has now opened at Davenport House Clinic. ProGait features an orthopaedic treadmill, force plates and high shutter speed cameras for Full Body 4-sided Motion Gait Analysis. Our Podiatrists and Physiotherapists can analyse the way that you run and walk and our software allows you to see all of the movements in the smallest detail that may be causing your injury.
Our Podiatrists are highly skilled in the manufacture of orthotics. We have specialist equipment on-site to enable the Podiatrists to manufacture custom made orthotics. In most cases you will be able to leave with the devices on the same day as your appointment. These orthotics will be made specifically for your feet, your mechanics, your shoes, and will be as unique as your fingerprints.
