About Davenport House
In July 2008, Davenport House reopened its doors to the public, 80 years after it was closed as a G.P. surgery. Originally built in 1858 for Surgoen, Sir Thomas Brierlely, Davenport House was converted back to its historical roots to become Tameside's premier Podiatry and Physiotherapy Clinic, named, Davenport House Clinic.
The clinic is renown for it's friendly staff and stunning setting. Each room has been carefully restored to its former glory, combining the original features with modern clinical equipment.
