We have listed all of the Chiropody, Podiatry and Physiotherapy treatment options which may be offered to you at Davenport House Clinic. You will always need an assessment or consultation before a treatment option is decided. All treatment options will be fully explained to you before they begin.

Chiropody and Podiatry Treatment Options

  • Biomechanical Assessment
  • A Biomechanical Assessment involves a complex evaluation of the feet, legs and body position whilst weight bearing and non-weight bearing.

  • Diabetic Foot Care
  • Foot care amongst diabetics is incredibly important. Find out how we can help you to take care of your feet.

  • Ingrown Toenail Management
  • Ingrown Toenails can cause great discomfort. If you suffer from ingrowning toenails, often the podiatrist will be able to cut your nails so they are more comfortable for you.

  • Nail Surgery
  • Nail Surgery is the full or partial removal of an ingrown toenail. Find out about the surgery and our aftercare.

  • Orthotics
  • Orthotics are orthopedic devices that are used to treat a variety of biomechanical foot disorders. Our Podiatrists can manufacture custom made orthotics on-site and in most cases you can leave with the device on the day of your appointment.

  • Routine Chiropody
  • Routine Chiropody is the term for the general maintenance of your foot health. Common treatments in a routine session would be nail cutting, nail reduction, ingrowing toenail management, corn enucleation, and callus debridement.

  • Surgery
  • Surgical intervention is always the last resort at Davenport House Clinic. We will exhaust all treatment options before referring any of our patients for surgery.

Physiotherapy Treatment Options

  • Acupuncture
  • Acupuncture is a form of traditional Chinese medicine which involves the insertion of very fine needles at key points (known as acupuncture points) into the body.

  • R.I.C.E (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation)
  • R.I.C.E. stands for Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation. Using these 4 immediate first aid measures can relieve pain, limit swelling and protect the injured tissues, all of which help speed healing.

  • Taping
  • Taping is a form of strapping. It is a procedure that uses tape, attached to the skin, to physically keep in place muscles or bones at a certain position. This reduces pain and aids recovery.
